Plan Your Visit

“We Rise by Lifting Others” by Ashley Kay

You can begin your exploration of local culture and history at the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center, located at 825 Depot Ave. West. We work in partnership with the Heritage Center, and can be reached there if necessary.

You can park your vehicle there for free, and we highly recommend checking out the Heritage Center as part of your day to learn more about Niagara Falls’ vital role as the “last stop” of the Underground Railroad on freedom seekers’ journey to safety in Canada. Plus, there are restrooms inside to use.

From there, you can head out on foot to explore the 20 murals spread throughout the area of Main Street and Depot Avenue. Each mural tells a part of Niagara Falls’ story.

After you’ve explored the Main and Depot murals, hop in your car and travel over to 325 Hyde Park Blvd. in Niagara Falls to see another mural, “The Dance,” on the side of The Dance Shop Dance Studio.

You can also take advantage of the Discover Niagara Shuttle to see the murals and other cultural, historical and entertaining destinations in Niagara Falls. You can view the shuttle’s route and schedule here.
